Reginald I am not even close to retirement and me and my wife loved it
Yes, they have posters from the movie on the walls
My daughter is eating one right now
Great breakfast place. A bit of a wait, but worth it!
The food was not that great, local ihop would have been far better. Less quantity and prices are high
A bit of a higher end breakfast place, but pretty worth it. My standard for a vacation breakfast is bagels and lox and the breakfast club, etc did not disappoint. Very tasty. Bagel was pretty chewy like it was fresh baked. My partner got a breakfast burrito the size of his head and ate the whole thing, stating that it was the best burrito he ever had.
For someone who isn't really fond of potatoes, the fried potatoes here were really good!! I wish they had more vegetarian/vegan options though than make alterations in the existing menu. The food is on the blander side in general but nothing a sprinkle of pepper can fix. The staff are friendly and service was quick! The place is always full because of the great food and view!
The Breakfast Club lived up to their reputation! Excellent!
I had a quality breakfast burrito here. Surprising good coffee bar in the storefront.
Heard so many good things about this place so we expected the best. We waited over an hour(during covid) so take with a grain of salt. But once we were in service was extremely slow and the food disappointed all the way around. I ordered the French toast which I could have made at home. And my boyfriend ordered the waffle which was extremely dry. We only received one ramakin of syrup each, which was not enough, but the waitress never came by so we could ask for more. All in all, I can say it did not live up to the hype.
Cool places to get breakfast. We expected it to be expensive as others hinted but our breakfast for 3 came to be $5 more than a downtown diner nearby. Totally worth it because the food here is top notch. Tons of items are made from scratch daily and everything is fresh. The place is also very clean and feels cozy although it does get a bit loud at times. Highly recommend it.
Great good at fair prices. Very good customer service in the restaurant area. Meanwhile the busy take-out front of house area is a bit too hit and miss for me in the mornings.
We liked the old location better. Food was well prepared. Waitstaff seemed overburdened, no spoons for the coffee and we were unfortunately seated at probably the worst table in the place. Had a good memory of the previous location, but you can't go back again!
Good food and great locals work there!
Excellent food, the best coffee in town. Though you might have to wait a while but it is definitely worth the wait!
I don't understand why this place is highly rated on Google. My omlet was extremely overcooked, and it wasn't seasoned at all, absolutely no salt. The Hollandaise on my boyfriend's Benedict was separating when they brought the food.
Good decent breakfast. Not over the top great. Good healthy choices. We didn't have the drinks but they looked great.
Breakfast club sandwiches and their lemon poppy bread was absolutely delicious! Stopped here for a full breakfast as well one time. It was a bit pricey but the food was delicious. Their wait staff were really friendly and eating breakfast with the view they have in the dining area was great.
This place is amazing. Great staff, delicious drinks and the best breakfast food!
The view is lovely if you get a table by the windows facing mirror lake you don’t want to leave, food was delicious. Only thing the best whipped cream I’ve tasted on hot chocolate made the hot chocolate cool so opt for less whipped cream or none at all or in a small bowl on the side, the scratch biscuit was so good the waffles with apple compote so good everything we had including the vegetarian dish was delicious, you can also get drinks at the bar yes they got a bar, no reservations needed; they get very busy go early or you will have a long wait service was exceptional place was nice and clean.
Very popular place for breakfast. The service was attentive and friendly. Food looked pretty normal and no “wow” factor, but also, slightly overpriced for what you were getting. It’s worth visiting for the first time if you want to wait 30 minutes for a table, but probably not worth visiting again.
Bloody Mary’s are tasty, breakfast food is mostly like warm and/or greasy. They have a great location overlooking Mirror Lake. Wish they could increase the quality of food.
The fondue here was amazing. It tastes better than you think cinnamon and maple surup could taste. Would reccmond
Love this place. Always a necessity when coming to Lake Placid! Never have been disappointed with their food and service. Melissa, our server today was amazing. She is how every server should be. Thank you!
We ate here both mornings of our vacation and I honestly wanted to extend our trip another day just to eat there again. The waitress Joann was amazing. Especially considering how busy they were. The food was above and beyond. I definitely recommend the maple whip cream waffles and you have to get the bacon. The view is awesome but the food was so good I could barely enjoy it.
This place was really nice. There is a beautiful view of the lake in a cozy dining room. The food was great and our waitress was awesome.
Wouldn’t know..we went in and no one was around. Walked in closer and two guys that worked there were in the booth. One said “we’re closed” mind you were in a PLACE OF BUSINESS during what is supposed to be business hours. Only after that did a member of wait staff come over. She said yeah we closed early because it wasn’t busy. But there’s coffee and parties left. Um.. no thanks. I’m here on vacation. Happy to take my money elsewhere. Obviously this place doesn’t need the business if they don’t want to stay open during there own set of operational hours!
Quick friendly service and very good food!
First of all we had wanted ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, apparently they didnt have ham, english muffins nor hashbrowns. Why be open if half of your menu isnt available. Lady was extremely rude when getting the food. And threw my food on the table, and its ridiculous how she acted, i understand the situation we are all in. But if you got a job. Dont take it for granted because many do not have one, honestly she is someone i would never hire, because her attitude is just not for food service. My eggs werent cooked eight at all, sausage was way over cooked and the bread was harder than a rock. Honestly it made me sick to my stomach .Never again will i be eating here
This place is a MUST GO TO!!!Our table had a perfect view of Mirror Lake. Our server was TERRIFIC!!!The food OUTSTANDING! I had crab cake Benedict and my husband had waffle and 1 side pancake that was gigantic- served with Adirondack Maple Syrup.I had their perfect Bloody Mary! It was perfect!
Great bloody Mary selection and nice views out on mirror lake. Oh and the food was great too 😀
Great waitress. Food was excellent. I ordered a pancake(couldn't resist having cinnamon butter and real syrup...) and a breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious. Coffee was also decent and my friend ordered a Strawberry Mimosa that I tasted and was delicious. Definitely will return on my next trip to Lake Placid.
I've brought friends and family here now for a couple years. We've always enjoyed their breakfast and views. Today however the BC earned its single star from me, ironically the only bad experience I've had here was directly by the manager/owner herself. Her staff however for years and the many times I've been here have been exceptional. I would suggest the owner/manager should stay away from her establishment and let her staff deal with guest interactions.
The service here is really friendly and the food and drinks are classic!
Great view, great food. Relaxed atmosphere
Food was ok. I had a breakfast burrito with jalapeños in it. Not a good choice for breakfast. Atmosphere is nice and service was great.
Great atmosphere and amazing food. If you are looking for a special piece of Lake Placid NY; you must stop in here and have any one of their amazing dishes.
Acai bowl was so bad! 13$ for a watery cranberry juice cut smoothie in a bowl is sad. If your that broke as a restaurant that you feel the need to serve whatever this is please please close.
Great place for Bloody Mary’s and a hearty meal. If you're a fan of lox ’n bagel sandwich you will be happy with theirs. The service is so friendly very busy and we were welcomed and assured that someone would be with is shortly. It nice to see staff working hard but still take the time to greet the customers and make them feel at home.
Can't rave about this place enough. This was HANDS DOWN the best breakfast I've ever eaten. Awesome, friendly wait staff. Quick service, great music and atmosphere. Fantastic coffee. Huge portions and reasonable prices. This place alone is enough to bring me back to LP.
Food was excellent the views were spectacular. The price for breakfast was a little steep but all well worth it.
This is a very good place to eat. I'm sure that anything you order off the menu, you will not be disappointed. the small downside is a little bit of a weight to get a table especially if you come during peak hours on the weekend. The servers were all fantastic. I would recommend that you pick out one of the five or six types of eggs Benedict. You will not be let down. Also I recommend their bloody Mary It is probably one of the best I've ever had. If I come back to lake placid this will definitely be my breakfast spot
This is, by far, the best breakfast I have had in New York's North Country. We've been going to Lake Placid every summer for decades, but never gone out for breakfast. A friend who used to live in Lake Placid recommended The Breakfast Club with the admonition that it was not to be missed, and she was right. We shared the breakfast fondue and I had the lemon ginger mimosa (served with a piece of candied ginger). The food was filling and delicious. We are definitely adding it to our own "must do" list for our annual trips.
The egg benedits here are superb. However, French toast dessert was the star of the entire meal.
Yummy egg sammaich for sure. Fast, courteous and convenient also
I love the view of the lake. The waitress was very nice. The food was delicious. It's my favorite place for breakfast in Lake Placid. I am never disappointed.
Great location, great food. Gets very busy but the staff are always welcoming.
Food was great their organic caged eggs are so amazing. I got an egg skillet and my friend got the stuffed french toast. ❤️❤️ I definitely recommend.
The food here was delicious. I had the crab cake Benedict and it was so good. Tons of bloody Mary’s to choose from which is always fun. And the different mimosas were good too. Not a long wait and the view from the dining area was awesome!
Great food and a great view. Service was slow but not sure if it was just the waiter or the place in general. Will be my go to for breakfast when I'm in the area
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We've visited twice in the past three days, once for the berry compote waffles and once for the berry & mascarpone french toast + coffee. Each time they had our order ready quickly (20 minutes). The food is delicious and I was pleasantly surprised but how extravagant it is! We loved the cinnamon butter and maple syrup they gave us. The coffee is also amazing. We will definitely visit again the next time we're in Lake Placid.
Great for a sit down breakfast or just stopping in to get something to go! We sat along the back window looking over the lake while enjoying a hearty breakfast. Service was great. The price was a little more than what i would pay normally for breakfast, but the quality of everything was well worth it!
